The Libyan Center for Amazigh Studies organized yesterday, Wednesday, in Tripoli, the national conference on (the role of linguistic diversity in promoting development), in the presence of the Director General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, the head of the center and a number of professors, academics, researchers and those interested in the economy and development.
During the conference, a set of topics were presented that talked about language as one of the components of human capital, its role in developing markets, its impact on economic and social growth, in addition to the role of local languages in integrating markets, attention to the Amazigh language and enhancing popular participation in bringing about economic development.

The head of the center, "Fatehi Abu Zakhar," told the Libyan Cloud News Agency, the aim of this conference is to change the negative perception recorded in the subconscious of some Libyans about Tamazight, which was associated with misconceptions, as well as creating job opportunities and what Tamazight will add value to the Libyan labor market, in addition For the vertical expansion of higher education and the revitalization of higher studies.
Abu Zakhar added that (7) papers were presented on the multiplicity of languages and the development of the state, the impact of the use of Amazigh names for products on the Libyan consumer, the economics of language, the investment of languages in development in European countries, and how language affects economic growth.
