Decades ago, Arab nationalists in North Africa, fanatics of Arabism, and some radical Islamists, did not hesitate to express their chauvinistic desire for the extinction of Amazigh in order for Arabism to prevail! Rather, some of them called for the extermination of Amazigh in its homeland, with brazenness, in a grave violation of a natural and self-evident human right, which is The right to care for his mother tongue, to use and develop it, to care for it and his culture, and to belong to the identity of his fathers and grandfathers, which is determined by the geographical origin of that identity, which is the Amazigh land, as in the case of North Africa.

It is a call to carry out a crime of cultural genocide that is no less heinous than the crimes of ethnic cleansing, because killing a language in the name of a language is a crime, and here are examples of the position of some extremist Arab and Islamist nationalists who openly and brazenly called for the extermination of the Amazigh language in their own homes, practicing the most heinous of that. Chauvinism and the worst racism when the idea of chauvinistic Arab nationalism was at its height, but they died and became extinct and the Amazighness endured thanks to the struggle and steadfastness of its free sons.
Allal El Fassi
Allal Al-Fassi, leader of the Istiqlal Party, a fanatic of pan-Arabism in the fifties, asked a strange question in one of his party’s executive meetings, when he said literally:
The evacuation of the French armies, brothers, is necessarily a reality, and so is the Spanish armies, but our chronic problem is the problem of the Berbers, so how is their evacuation??
That is, the presence of the Berbers in their homeland (the Berbers, as he calls them) and their preservation of their Berber language and identity called it a chronic problem and asked how they were evacuated!!! It is an implicit call to annihilate the Amazigh in any way and in any way possible!!! And this is what the Moroccan state has responded to since its formal independence by applying the policy of crazy Arabization to solve this “chronic problem” for them!
Abed Al Jabri
Abed Al-Jabri, one of the fanatical Moroccan theorists of Arabism involved in the Socialist Union Party, called in his wishes for the death of the Amazigh language in a serious way, in his fanaticism of Arabism in a book he wrote in 1985, where he wrote the following: The comprehensive Arabization process should target not only the French language as a language of civilization, culture, communication and interaction, but also - and this is of great importance - working to kill the local Berber dialects... and this will only be achieved by focusing and generalizing education... and prohibiting the use of any language or any An accent in school, radio and television other than Standard Arabic...
This is what has been applied literally by the Moroccan state since the formal independence directly, when Arabic was imposed by default and the exclusion of the Berbers on television, schools, administrations and courts, and even besieged and displaced for the sake of their death and their final graves.
