An educational inspector in the regional directorate of El-Ayoun prevented the inclusion of Amazigh language classes and their settlement within the school time scheduling, and incited bilingual teachers to despise this subject and restrict it in educational institutions.
In a statement, the concerned professor confirmed the practices confiscated from educational frameworks that surround the government's efforts and the Ministry of Education in giving this language its place within the school and society as a whole, as well as violating the provisions of the 2011 constitution.
Where the professor stated that the inspector said in a meeting at the institution (Manshofshach (the Amazigh language) so use time and manage it while they do their work, and he stressed that teaching Tamazight will be outside the lessons of the teachers’ schedules.
The inspector himself also confirmed that he would not sign the school timetable if the Amazigh language was settled inside it.
The professor adds, that the meeting took place without summoning the Amazigh language inspector, and they were satisfied with the presence of the Arabic and French inspector, and when I asked the director about this transgression, he told her that he called him by phone and he did not attend, while they should have invited him via a note as was the case for the inspectors.
When the professor inquired about the matter, and told them that the Berber language requires three hours and an hour and a half from the Arabic language class and the other takes from the French language class, she was met with provocative responses, and the professors refrained from granting them time periods from their classes.
