The Sub-Directorate of Activities celebrates the Amazigh New Year 2973
In commemoration of the Amazigh New Year 2973, corresponding to January 12 of each year, the Sub-Directorate for Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities at its headquarters at the University of May 8, 1945 in Guelma on January 11, 2023 organized a special festive activity for the occasion. He began by presenting a lecture by Dr. Omar Abdel Nasser, Head of the History Department, in which he provided a historical overview of the occasion. The activity was also known for presenting various exhibitions made by the university clubs, which included photographs, drawings, clothes, utensils, traditional foods, etc., in addition to poetry recitals and musical performances.
To commemorate this event that has marked the history of North Africa, although January has been celebrated since the dawn of time by our ancestors who knew how to preserve and preserve this precious heritage from generation to generation.
This celebration comes in the context of the renewed demands of the Amazigh activities represented in compulsory teaching and dissemination of the Amazigh language without resorting to the optional method.
