Implementation of the official character of Tamazight: IRCAM and Barid Al Maghrib seal a partnership agreement
The Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM) and the Barid Al-Maghrib Group signed, on April 25, 2023, at IRCAM headquarters in Rabat, a partnership agreement which sets the content and terms of cooperation between both institutions with the aim of integrating the Tamazight language within the Barid Al-Maghrib Group.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ahmed Boukous, Rector of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture and Mr. Amin Benjelloun Touimi, General Manager of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group. It covers translation, training, communication and documentation.
The signing of this agreement constitutes a general framework of cooperation between the two institutions and concretizes their common will to contribute to the implementation of the official character of the Tamazight language, in accordance with article 5 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco. and the provisions of Organic Law No. 26-16.
