Among the works displayed on this occasion are an embroidered painting by Ibtisam al-Hafzi entitled “Orphan, Little Fatima”, a painting of a 14-year-old girl, whose main purpose is to shed light on the phenomenon of underage marriage, and paintings entitled “Tuareg”, whose owner Hafsa Harchi says, in a statement to the Moroccan Press Agency, that it is the result of a trip she led to the Moroccan desert, highlighting that blue men and nature in this region of Morocco were her source of inspiration.
“I am very grateful to Ibdaa for supporting us in mastering embroidery and carpet-making techniques,” Harshi added. In addition to weaving, embroidery and ceramics, the exhibition celebrates fashion designs through a fashion show that displays the sewing techniques of Berber fashion and the accessories employed in it.
