The Ministry of Culture.. 20 thousand people attended "Nostalgia - Yesterday's Passion" at the archaeological site of Chellah in Rabat
The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication revealed that about 20,000 people attended the artistic performances of the "Nostalgia - Yesterday's Emotion" demonstration, which was organized from July 21 to July 27 at the archaeological site of Chellah in Rabat.
According to the same source, the "Nostalgia - Yesterday's Emotion" performances, which simulate the civilizations that inhabited the Chellah site during the past centuries, witnessed "a record attendance of about 20,000 people over the past seven days."
The ministry indicated that it aims with such initiatives to bring citizens closer to learning about the history of the archaeological sites of their country, noting in this regard that similar shows are expected to be programmed in different archaeological sites in the near future.
The idea of the "Nostalgia - Yesterday's Passion" shows is based on restoring the historical sites in Morocco, through an accurate historical representation that simulates the previous civilizations that lived in the archaeological site of Chellah, such as the Roman, Marinid and Saadian civilizations.
The Chellah archaeological site is one of the most important archaeological and historical monuments in the capital, Rabat, dating back to the seventh or sixth century BC.
