Honoring a group of prominent figures in the art of Ahidous and its artists..Announcing the date of the National Festival of Ahidous Art in Ain Al-Louh
The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication (Culture Sector) and the Thaimat Association for Atlas Arts are organizing, from the fourth to the sixth of August, the 22nd session of the National Festival of the Art of Ahidous in Ain Louh (Ifrane region), under the royal patronage of King Mohammed VI.
A communiqué to the Ministry stated that this year's session, which is organized in partnership with the Council of the Fez-Meknes region, and in cooperation with the prefecture of the Ifrane region and the Ain al-Louh community, celebrates the spectacle and ceremonial aspect of the art of Ahidous, through the most prominent performances that will be presented by 42 troupes, representing the various styles and expressions of this heritage art. Al-Aseel belonging to a number of regions, prefectures and destinations in the Kingdom.
And the same source highlighted that the festival’s paragraphs also include “honoring a group of prominent figures in the art of Ahidous and its artists, in appreciation of their distinguished artistic career and recognized creativity, and for the great services they have made to preserve this art, preserve it, ensure its continuity, and introduce it to the nobility of its artistic and human messages.”
He added that this art is considered “one of the basic elements of the intangible Moroccan musical heritage, which expresses the richness of the cultural heritage, which is what makes work to preserve and preserve this art, introduce it, ensure its continuity and transfer it to future generations, as well as support the teams working to revive it. Poets, creators and artists are among the ministry’s priorities.”
He pointed out that the ministry worked to preserve the arts of Ahidous, like all other musical and heritage instruments, through a set of mechanisms, measures and activities, including organizing the National Festival of Ahidous Art, which “is considered a station for reviving and valuing this heritage, and creating festive spaces to highlight its treasures and present it to the general public interested and followers.” As well as a lever for economic, social and cultural development in the rural area in which it is organized.
