The Minister of National Education and Primary Education added that the ministry's goal is to reach about 50 percent of the educational institutions that teach Amazigh in 2026, provided that it is circulated to all institutions at the national level by 2030.
In response to the question of “The Amazigh World” about the constraints that the Amazigh language and its teachers suffer from, the Minister affirmed that the Ministry will make use of its efforts to keep up with the workshops to integrate the Amazigh language into education and disseminate it in all Moroccan schools. He added that the Ministry seeks to reach this goal within the dates it has specified, adding that the Ministry It has the necessary capabilities to reach the results you have written.
He stressed that reaching the goal of generalization requires increasing the number of Amazigh language teachers, considering that part of these professors are specialists, and part have double specialization. Therefore, the Ministry is working to employ 400 professors specialized in Amazigh annually, indicating that this percentage remains insufficient for The generalization of Tamazight as we aspire to it.
He explained that the ministry decided to hire only 400 professors annually, due to the absence of a sufficient number of departments in educational institutions, which limits the employment of more than 400 professors specializing in Tamazight who teach 30 full hours, and promised that this compulsion will be overcome in the coming years.
Regarding the time limit allocated for teaching Tamazight, he confirmed that students benefit from 3 hours per week.
