?Why do we call it Nafusa Mountain and not the Western Mountain
Simply because Mount Nafusa is the only and historical name for the mountain, and the name of the Western Mountain was never mentioned except in one map of the Ottoman army, which called Mount Nafusa the Western Mountains and the Green Mountain the Eastern Mountains, but the approved map was drawn by the Ottoman Empire and placed in the Comprehensive Library - and in the Council of Ministers. The name that all the people of Jabal Nafusa, the Berbers and the first inhabitants of the mountain, agreed upon is Nafusa.
Now we ask why they are trying to lie, falsify and change history for the Western Mountain? The answer is only an attempt to steal and change history by the settlers, so that they erase the history of the mountain and its name, even though the name of the Western Mountain is an Ottoman military name, and they claim that they are fighting the Turks while they cling to the name given by the Turkish army on a military map, to indicate only geography, not to erase the Amazighs. While the name of Mount Nafusa is still on the maps of the Turkish Council of Ministers.
In general: We are the sons of Nafusa, and its name will remain Mount Nafusa, historically, jurisprudentially, and legally. No settler has the right to change its name, nor does Turkey or anyone else have the right to name the cities and regions of our homeland. We Amazigh did not go to change the name of Mount Uhud in Saudi Arabia or the Arart Mountains in Turkey.
