The Ibn Rushd Prize for Harmony was awarded to the Moroccan writer Abdelkader Chaoui and the Cervantes Institute network in Morocco, in recognition of their efforts in promoting coexistence and dialogue between cultures, as announced by the organizers of this award. The award, which was recently launched by the Andalusian-Moroccan Friendship Association “Ibn Rushd Forum,” is divided into two categories:

The award, which was recently launched by the Andalusian-Moroccan Friendship Association “Ibn Rushd Forum,” is divided into two categories: the first rewards important contributions from Spanish institutional actors and individuals, while the second concerns contributions made by Moroccan institutions or individuals.
The award will be presented to Abdelkader Al-Chaoui and the director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis Garcia Montero, during an official ceremony that will be held at the end of May 2024 in Spain, according to what the association stated in its press release.
