An art exhibition by Mounir Barqi in Tangier...a profound embodiment of the Moroccan Amazigh cultural heritage
Until April 26, the Mohamed Drissi Gallery in Tangier will host a solo exhibition by visual artist Mounir Benraqi, under the slogan “Infinite” (Eternity), which embodies, with artistic depth, the unique Moroccan Amazigh cultural heritage.
During this exhibition, the artist Benraqi presents a group of paintings of different dimensions, sculptures, installations and creations of video art, where the artist combines shapes, colours, emotions and living conditions through creative forms inspired by the ancient and diverse Moroccan heritage.
In this context, the artist Benrqi confirmed, in a press statement, that the focus during this solo exhibition is on the cultural richness of the Kingdom of Morocco and the multiplicity of its tributaries, which reflect the glorious history of Morocco, in all its regions, and the antiquity of its civilization and its influence on its general geographical surroundings.
He added that the exhibition seeks, through the exhibits presented in their various expressive formations and their themes of “land,” “women,” and “life in all its manifestations,” to highlight the uniqueness of the Moroccan cultural heritage and contribute to its preservation, while emphasizing that Moroccans are “builders of an ancient civilization whose counterparts are few.” “.
According to the same source, the exhibition of plastic artist Mounir Benraqi, who was born in eastern Morocco into a family interested in art, stems “more from sensory introspection and the desire to create a visually and aesthetically beautiful world that cannot be sensed and sensed.” It is the artist's vision of humanity, the origin of creation, and the multiple and invisible worlds that surround man. The visual artist, who has previously participated in several exhibitions in Morocco, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, and is also creative in writing scripts and directing short films, highlights that the exhibition is “a collection of questions posed by a mind seeking to define its identity in an amazing world, and trying to break free from the tangible to reach...
