Today, Tuesday in Rabat, the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture celebrated the International Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, which falls on May 21 of each year.
This meeting, organized by the Center for Anthropological and Sociological Studies of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture, aimed to consolidate the culture of diversity and highlight the role of culture in achieving development within society.
In a speech on the occasion, the Dean of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture, Ahmed Boukous, confirmed that this meeting aims to share knowledge about the Amazigh cultural heritage, especially in its intangible dimension, noting that there is a huge amount of studies that the Institute is currently working on digitizing and issuing them in a database.

Mr. Bocus added that the meeting also aims to value the efforts of actors in the field of cultural heritage, regionally and locally, recalling that the process of codifying and collecting cultural expressions is of great importance to the Institute, as highlighted by its founding decree in its third article.
For his part, the director of the Institute's Center for Anthropological and Sociological Studies, Mubarak and Naeem, said that the center's mission seeks, in particular, to highlight and protect the intangible cultural heritage that the Kingdom abounds with.
It was noted that this meeting also aims to highlight the role of actors in the field and their methods of work, and to create coordination mechanisms to value and protect cultural heritage, as well as to support and keep pace with the efforts they make in defining and valuing this heritage.
