Libya.. The Amazigh World Assembly honors Dr. Masoud Qanan
Last Tuesday, the President of the Libyan University of Nalut, Dr. Muhammad Masoud Qanan, received the shield of honor that he received from the International Amazigh Assembly, after he was unable to attend the work of the Tenth World Amazigh Conference organized in Ouarzazate on March 25-26 and 27, 2022.
The Tenth Conference of the World Amazigh Assembly focused on the role of “urgent measures that should be taken to protect, revitalize and promote the indigenous language of the people of North Africa,” in line with the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032) launched by UNESCO and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
Dr. Masoud Qanan was chosen among a group of actors who provided services to the Amazigh issue at the level of North Africa and abroad. However, he was unable to attend your meeting.
The Libyan Amazigh actor, Ashour Belkacem, handed over the shield of honor to Dr. Mohamed Qanan on Tuesday, May 21, 2014, on the sidelines of the conclusion of the scientific conference “Nafoussa and Zuara Scholars, Media and Landmarks” under the slogan: “Nafoussa Authenticity and Modernity” in the city of Jado.
