“Amazigh, the bosom of the arts” is the slogan of the first session of the “Teleli Amazigh Music and Culture” Festival, Bait Aurier
Under the slogan “Berber is the bosom of the arts”, the “Teleli for Culture and Arts” association, in partnership with the Future Foundation and the Danish organization Dansk Ungdoms Fællesrå, organizes the activities of the first session of the National Festival “Teleli for Amazigh Music and Culture”, on May 21-22, 2022 Beit Aourir of the Al Haouz Region.
The first session, according to its press release, will feature a variety of programming, with the participation of a group of diverse artistic and lyrical groups from outside the Marrakesh region, in addition to organizing a lecture moderated by Professor Rachid Rakha, President of the Amazigh World Gathering and director of the publication of the Amazigh newspaper, on “the importance of engaging in activating recommendations International Decade of Indigenous Languages” in line with the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032) launched by UNESCO and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
The festival will also witness the signing of a novel in the Amazigh language, "Ewes Netgart" by its author Ibrahim Al-Asri, the presentation of the play "Tagoudi" by the "Hayy Ben Guerir" band, and parallel activities initiated by the association by drawing a large mural that includes Tifinagh letters, in the context of deepening the theme "Amazigh is the bosom of the arts", which constitutes a main title. And prominent for the identity of the festival, which we seek to develop in the coming roundabouts and make it an annual shrine.
The “Teleli” association decided to organize the first session of the festival in an attendance format after easing government measures related to “Covid 19” because of “the presence and participation of the people of Ait Ourir and the festival’s guests in the warmth of enjoying the singing of Amazigh culture and arts and the warmth of Amazigh / Amazigh meetings.”
