In a first of its kind, the US National Radio Astronomy Observatory has published a video clip showing a collision between two stars, involving at least one neutron star, in the millimeter range of radio frequency wavelengths.
The research team used a highly advanced array of radio telescopes to detect one of the most energetic short-range gamma-ray bursts ever observed.
The video shows the light from a neutron star colliding with another star about 20 billion light-years away.

It is noteworthy that gamma ray bursts can release more energy in a few seconds than the sun emits during its entire
existence, and it is the most energetic explosion in the universe.
