Amazigh associations sue the Raja team for racist chants
This morning, Friday, October 28, the National Federation of Amazigh Associations filed a complaint against the Raja Sports team in front of the judiciary, due to the racist expressions raised by the fans of the green team during the match that brought it together in Hassania Agadir, on the floor of the Mohammed V complex in Casablanca.
It was emphasized through formalism that the match between Raja and Hassania was known to chant slogans of an ethnic racist nature against the Amazighs, such as “Rih Rih Adak al-Shalih”, and considered it unsportsmanlike behavior and far from sportsmanship.
The federation confirmed in its complaint that the chants and slogans raised in the stadium by fans of Raja Sports constitute abhorrent discrimination and are rejected legally, morally and legally, and contempt for the Amazighs.
The National Federation of Amazigh Associations indicated that this complaint came after the silence of the Raja Casablanca club administration, which did not take any action to denounce what happened, and to prevent the repetition of this racist behavior in its field by those affiliated with its fans.
The match, which was held on October 19, ended with the victory of the Raja team against its counterpart Hassaniya, with a goal to none, scored in the ninth minute of stoppage time, from a penalty mark.
