The "Africa Intelligence" website revealed that the Algerian billionaire, Issad Rebrab, has received the "green light" to continue the project of the largest tourist village in Algeria, which has been suspended for years due to administrative obstacles.
The project will be completed in the region of Tichy in the state of Bejaia
Years ago, the "Cevital" complex, owned by businessman Issad Rebrab, announced the start of the construction of the largest tourism and real estate investment in the Tichy region in the state of Bejaia, 230 km east of the capital, which sits on a real estate pot with a total area of 182 hectares. Due to a problem with land ownership, although observers of the file suggested that the suspension of the works was by "top" orders due to the disputes of the richest man in Algeria with the authority during the era of the late President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
The plot of land that will host the project is located between Tichy and Aban Ramadan Airport in Bejaia, and was purchased from the Tamzli family, and is adjacent to the famous tourist boat "Capritor".
According to the project plans, the complex includes a tourist area in which group tourist stays, hotels, hotel apartments, commercial spaces, various service annexes, tourist villages for picnics and entertainment, and individual and group shrines are carried out.
Cevital intends to create a number of urban spaces with an economic dimension in the region, as well as the completion of a number of necessary service centers, as well as a series of collective facilities.
Last June, businessman Issad Rabrab announced that he would officially retire and announced the appointment of his son Malik as CEO of the “Cevital” complex, as his successor.
In a statement posted on his company's page, Rebrab said that he can say that he has lived with pleasure and pride for more than 50 years in the heart of the country's economic life due to what has been achieved for the "Cevital" complex.
