The Foundation for Arts and Cultures recently inaugurated its interdisciplinary institute, the “Institute of Arts and Cultures for Development”, in Marrakech, with the aim of enabling access to various disciplines and activities of a cultural and artistic nature for the benefit of the general public.
The Foundation stated, in a statement, that “at a time when fears are increasing and the temptations of introversion emerge, the Foundation for Arts and Cultures calls today, to share the question and the courage of creativity, all those who realize that the flourishing of arts and cultures is the necessary condition for the vitality of our Moroccan society,” noting that The Institute seeks to form a common space for artistic creativity that is compatible with the freedom of artists and creative cultural initiatives.
The Foundation added that the Institute has launched, since January 15, artistic workshops directed at all segments of society of all ages (children, youth and adults), in addition to a regular schedule of cultural activities and permanent workshops for Arabic and Hebrew calligraphy, drawing, choir, photography, digital creativity and children’s theater. It proposes an agenda for master classes, trainings, exhibitions and seminars.

And she recorded that the “Institute of Arts and Cultures for Development” is directed to everyone who wants to launch a creative idea and make it real, useful, or of course artistic, revealing that emerging artists will find a space in which they can present their musical, comic, or other shows in front of a real audience.
The same source explained that developing the creative qualifications of children and youth, as well as the talents that have always been latent in adults, means creating a real cultural system that is highly open to originality.
The President of the Foundation for Arts and Cultures, Hafsa Benmchiche, affirmed that “Moroccan heritage offers a real opportunity to contribute to the renaissance of our cultural wealth,” revealing that “technology and the availability of broadband infrastructure provide new possibilities for creators to disseminate their artwork to a wider audience at a lower cost, regardless of material constraints.” and geographic, thus allowing a full exploitation of new technologies by providers of cultural content and a real revision of the traditional methods of production and distribution, which can contribute to broadening the audience and enriching the Moroccan cultural industry.
