A picture of sheep circulated on social media
For years, social media users have been circulating a picture whose publishers claim that it is of sheep rushing out of a gate, even though it is not surrounded by a fence.

The surprise is that the gate is in fact surrounded by a wall, according to what the photographer confirmed to Agence France-Presse.
The post includes a picture showing hundreds of sheep rushing out of what appears to be a gate.
"A flock of sheep is trying to get out through a small gate. The strange thing is that there is no wall, only a gate," the accompanying caption read.

The publication has received hundreds of posts from several pages on social media, in different languages, over the past years. It comes within the framework of publications that use fictional stories or images outside their real context to promote wisdom.
However, the image used to denote "herd behavior" does not correspond to the claim accompanying it.
The gate, contrary to what the publications claim, is surrounded by a wall that restricts the passage of sheep to one point, which explains their reluctance. When checking the picture, the pillars of this wall appear.

By searching for the photo, you can find the original version of it, posted on the official website of Australian photographer Scott Bridle, which is full of aerial photos, and on a page bearing his name on Facebook.
Subsequently, the journalists of the news-checking service at the French Press Agency contacted Bredel, who confirmed that there was a fence surrounding the gate when he took the picture.
