Amazigh beauty pageant in its first edition
Algerian Lisa Khalloul was crowned Miss Amazigh in France, on the outskirts of Paris, in the first edition of the Amazigh beauty contest, and the first of its kind, on February 4, 2023.
This competition witnessed the participation of female competitors from North Africa, and it turned out that this edition was an unprecedented success, as it witnessed a competition that brought together more than 20 young women, regardless of the large number that rushed to participate as soon as the beauty contest was announced.
The title returned to the Amazigh young woman belonging to Kabylie, who is 27 years old, according to the jury. She was chosen according to several criteria, most notably the proportion of natural beauty, the cultural level, in addition to the level of proficiency in her mother tongue, the Amazigh, which was the basis of the competition, and no threshold was set for the age of participation.
