Kawthar Al-Hilali crowned Miss Arkan in its second session
The contestant, Kawthar Al-Hilali, daughter of Agram in the Taroudant region, was able to win the confidence of the jury in the Miss Arkan competition in its second session, which was hosted by the city of Agadir between 19 and 22 May.
The crowning of 25-year-old Kawthar Hilali, who holds a degree in English literature, majoring in linguistics, with the title of Miss Arkan, which was organized by the Ameln Association for Ecotourism and Sustainable Development, in celebration of the International Day of the Argan Tree. It came for several criteria represented in excelling in the display of Moroccan-Amazigh dress, And her superiority in knowing the secrets of the argan tree during the cultural level test to which all participants were subjected, especially with regard to their culture about the argan tree and the solutions we proposed to preserve it.
Kawthar Al-Hilali confirmed, according to the “Agadir Aino” website, that “its relationship with pillars is more of an emotional and sentimental relationship than being utilitarian, because it belongs to an area known as Shahrat Al-Arkan,” considering that “this tree, which has remained steadfast in the face of natural conditions, reflects the steadfastness of man in this land.”
Kawthar indicated, according to the same website, that "her winning the title of Miss Arkan is considered an honor and an assignment at the same time in order to make a greater effort to introduce the culture and traditions of her region, and she also expressed her thanks to her family members for their support and assistance to her in all the steps she takes."
Miss Argan initiative aims to highlight the value of the Argan tree as a cultural, historical and heritage symbol, and to highlight the role of Amazigh women in the production of Argan oil and the preservation of this natural wealth. The participants also seek to enhance the tourism and promotional attractiveness of the Souss-Massa region.
It should be noted that the demonstration offered to organize training courses for the benefit of the participants, in addition to visiting women's cooperatives active in the field of pillars, to conclude the course's activities with an artistic evening.
