The “Foundation of the Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture” in Tangier is organizing the seventeenth (17) session of the Thuisa Festival, from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 July 2023, under the slogan: “In the need for an alternative cultural project.”
The announcement of the organization of this session comes in an atmosphere full of happiness and gratitude, following the grace of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, by approving the Amazigh New Year as an official and paid national holiday, similar to the Hijri New Year and the Gregorian New Year. It is a decision that confirms, once again, the continuous royal care that His Majesty has been attaching to the Amazigh language, as a major component of the authentic Moroccan identity, and an ancient cultural heritage that testifies to the depth and roots of the Kingdom of Morocco in history.
Similar to the previous sessions of the festival, which started in the summer of 2005, the seventeenth edition will witness various intellectual, cultural and artistic activities, with the participation of writers, thinkers and creators from inside and outside the Kingdom.
The Thuisa Festival, which has chosen since its inception to create spaces for meeting and dialogue between its pioneers and the masters of thought, literature, culture and the arts, sets daily dates for its audience in the spaces of the Ahmed Boukmakh Cultural Center, in the city of Tangiers, which will host intellectual seminars, various exhibitions, and artistic evenings, in addition to organizing activities in the spaces. other in the city
The “Thwiza” festival, organized by the “Foundation of the Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture” in Tangier, is renewed as usual, with the regularity of its sessions, the diversity of its programming, and all its paragraphs free of charge. .
