Tashtoket concludes the activities of the Al-Rabab Forum in its fifth edition
Last Wednesday, the curtain fell on the activities of the fifth session of the Rabab Recipient in the city of Ait Melloul, after the revival of the artist Fatima Tachtoket, the last evening of the meeting, along with President Moulay Ahmed Ihihi, the artist Hassan Edhamou, Said Aba Amran, in addition to the president Fatima Tzerzit, and Ahwash Tamnar Haha headed by Mahmou. , which ran from the 19th to the 21st of August.
The activities of this session were inaugurated last Monday evening at the Beit Melloul Cultural Center, in commemoration of the International Music Day, which falls on June 21 of each year. With the Ait Melloul Cultural Center and the Ait Melloul Community, in its fifth session, after three years of forced hiatus due to the Corona pandemic and the repercussions of its complexities on the cultural and artistic scene.
The director of the forum, Mr. Mohamed Al-Khattabi, said in a statement on the sidelines of the opening ceremony that this year's session was marked by the organization of training workshops and communication meetings between artists and those interested on the subject of new markets to promote music, in addition to the signing ceremony of the first lyrical album of the artist Omar Akhtar, which is supported by the Ministry of Youth. Culture and Communication The Culture Sector drew the year 2022, with the participation of Mohamed Al-Dhahabi, who briefed the artists, media professionals, and those interested in the modern Amazigh song, with what Omar Akhtar’s new album contains, and for which he chose the title “Amandji,” referring to the Ghouzi color that the sun makes at sunrise and sunset.
Al-Khattabi added that the “Al-Rabab” forum aims to promote Amazigh culture and arts, contribute to the development of the artistic sector and its radiation, preserve and introduce the Amazigh musical and lyrical artistic heritage, and work to introduce young musicians and emerging talents in the region and the region to the public and those interested.
For reference, the cultural and artistic sections of this festival included an intellectual symposium on the topic: “The art of narrations between the past and the present,” in addition to the signing of the book “Terwesa-3-”, in addition to organizing an exhibition of the instrument and musical and heritage tools during the days of the festival.
The “Rabab” forum aims to provide a new space to promote the works of new talents, introduce them to Amazigh music in national and international festivals and forums, in addition to encouraging creators by discovering artists and singing voices in the field of the Amazigh song and in the field of playing various traditional musical instruments “Rabab Loutar… And allocating encouragement prizes to them, and then the young man, Ayoub Atbir, 25 years old, who is the son of the artist, President Al-Hussein Atbir, was selected from the talents of the fifth session through his good confidence in playing the rubab.
The closing evening was marked by the honoring of each, Dr. Mohamed Hugh, as the President of the Tallilt Association for Medical Aid to Artists, and the artist Mohamed Sawabi Amawas, President of the National Mutual for Artists, to Mr. Artist Ibrahim Amentak, maker of the traditional musical instrument and owner of the Rubab instruments exhibition.
