?Does hot tea help lower body temperature

Drinking hot tea helps keep the body cool for those who live in areas with hot or dry weather.
The reason this counterintuitive idea works, Insider explains, is that drinking hot tea can help you sweat, which allows the body to cool itself, according to a 2012 study.
In the study, volunteers were asked to move relatively slowly for 75 minutes in a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, a relative humidity of 23 percent, and a water temperature of 1.5, 10, 37, and 50 degrees Celsius.
The change in body temperature was slightly greater when drinking 50°C water compared to 1.5 and 10°C.
But the researchers noted that, after consuming the hot beverage, overall body heat storage was actually lower after exercise, compared to the cold beverage.
Experts note that the sweat must actually evaporate for hot tea to have a cooling effect.
This means that if the tea drinker lives in a humid environment, drinking hot tea will not help him because his sweat will not evaporate effectively into the moist air.
According to The Conversation, the idea of hot drinks in warm weather goes back hundreds of years.
Tea is one of the most popular drinks in India, and the main consumers of tea are in tropical or desert regions, including the Arab world.
