Series of problems of teachers of the Amazigh language
The series of problems for teachers of the Amazigh language continues in every new academic year, this time due to the random decision taken by the Regional Academy of Education and Training Casablanca-Settat. So, costs were sent to a group of professors in order to teach them in two different institutions in addition to their original institutions without any legal basis. Thus, the total number of institutions is “three.” As a reminder, their original institutions have more than 8 levels. The aim of this unfair and arbitrary decision is to implement Ministerial Memorandum 23×28, which was issued on May 23, 2023, the subject of which was the gradual generalization of the Amazigh language in the primary school.
We can conclude that the goal of the Regional Academy for Education and Training Casablanca-Settat is to raise the percentage of statistics related to teaching the Amazigh language within the region based on the professor’s knowledge and not generalize it without taking into account several points:
The number of students benefiting from the Amazigh language.
Didaktics of the Amazigh language.
The suffering of the Amazigh language professor within this system, as most of them do not have the academic curricula, do not have their own hall, are despised by some directors, professors, parents, and the absence of inspectors to guide and guide them...
The problem of use of time that teachers of the Amazigh language suffer from every year.
Therefore, we ask the Minister of National Education, Primary Education and Sports, the educational unions, the Amazigh Association and everyone who is jealous of this constitutional language to intervene in order to stop this farce. Which will constitute a disgrace on the forehead of the Moroccan educational system and an insult to the country’s official language. We remind the guardian ministry that popularizing the Amazigh language in the primary school will only be achieved by increasing the number of positions specializing in the Amazigh language in the upcoming matches, and not by random, improvised, and unfair steps. He rejected this arbitrary decision because it has no legal basis and harms their dignity as professors.
