Establishment of the “National Coordination for Holders of Higher Diplomas in the Amazigh Language”
Holders of advanced degrees in the Amazigh language met in Rabat yesterday, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, on the sidelines of the national march called for by the National Coordination of the Education Sector and the body of professors and teaching staff in Morocco.
The founding statement stated that “the meeting revolved around structuring the national coordination for holders of higher degrees in the Amazigh language and setting out the requirements file for it, which is based primarily, according to the same statement, on the necessity of “bringing and taking into account the competencies of the Amazigh language in workshops for formalizing the Amazigh language, as well as in education competitions.” Especially the promotion and changing the framework for those holding higher education certificates, so that the Amazigh language specialty is not excluded from it due to the lack of shortage in secondary teaching materials. Likewise, “giving these people the opportunity in all supervisory matches, especially if they were eliminated in one of the matches on the grounds that they were employees,” the Amazigh frameworks state.
He pointed out the cancellation of the competition for recruiting translators in Parliament, which was passed by more than 80 holders of master’s degrees in the Amazigh language, “without justification or explanation.” He also pointed out that “the regional centers for the education and training professions are witnessing a huge shortage in the two components specializing in the Amazigh language, but their competitions have stopped and a long time has passed.” The last match in which a class for the Amazigh language was announced, with a very small number.”
The founding statement for holders of advanced degrees in the Amazigh language stated that “the list is open to join the coordination for holders of master’s and doctoral degrees in the Amazigh language.”
