?What do the Anunnaki really look like
Anunnaki gods
As I said before, their appearance is uncertain, because in primary sources it is not clearly known that they are the Anunnaki. They point out in the "Councils of Mystery" that the Anunnaki are giants more than 3 meters tall due to some reliefs in Mesopotamia, but this has an explanation. What appears in the inscriptions are not the Anunnaki gods, but the kings who, due to their greatness, were carved in clay or stone larger than others.
For these conspiracy theorists, the Anunnaki are also mentioned with a reptilian face, but as I said before, there is nothing in the primary sources that mention anything like that, they are just Maguvada.
But others say that the Anunnaki are the famous “Nephilim” mentioned in the “Book of Enoch,” and that has nothing to do with the topic and there is nothing to support this theory. Now I will explain to you why Zakaria Sechin was completely wrong.
Zecharia Sechin
In the nineteenth century, archeology began to discover thousands of Sumerian tablets. Many of them have been found in contemporary Iraq, so that their contents are still being studied and deciphered today. This is where the great Zechariah Sitchin comes in, writing a book about the Anunnaki god Enki, “the twelfth planet.”
In the Sumerian tablets, there are pieces that are broken or severely damaged due to the passage of time. Sitchin interprets what Assyriology tells him like a Hollywood movie. He published numerous copies and sold millions of copies of many of his books. This man was someone who knew some Hebrew but not Sumerian, so he saw greater benefit in inventing a story based on Sumerian mythology.
Do you look familiar? This is what many mystery channels do today, taking the stories told by ancient civilizations and adapting them for their own benefit, which is why these types of people are not too far removed from what is a cult. However, let's talk about Sitchin's hypothetical planet Nibiru.
Planet Nibiru
Zechariah Sitchin comments that Nibiru has a long orbit of 3,600 years. 450 thousand years ago, their planet was very close to ours, which is why the Anunnaki decided to visit us and ended up landing in Sumeria.
What is the purpose of the Anunnaki? According to Sitchin, this extraterrestrial civilization needed gold to repair its atmosphere, so they decided to create humans by mixing their own DNA with ape DNA to do the dirty work. Do you look familiar? Well, yes, it's almost the same story as the "Ode of Atarachasis".
Sitchin's book has sold millions of copies around the world. Erich von Däniken, the Swiss author who published several books on the subject, is one of those responsible for making the story of ancient astronauts famous. Emanuel Velikovsky, a Russian author who also supported this type of theory, published Worlds in Collision, which was a bestseller in the United States
These three people were key in promoting the conspiracy theories of the famous Anunnaki. For this reason, Assyriologists reject the topic of Nibiru and the pseudo-scientific theories of these figures.
