Reasons for not recognizing and introducing the Coptic civilization
One of the most important reasons for not recognizing and introducing the Qabsi civilization before, and even seeking to marginalize it and erase all its features, we find is the ignorance of the people of North Africa, their isolation, and the near absence of information and other opinion. Bourguiba, Charnicol, or even Bernard Lewis, who developed the plan for an Arab world from the East to the West under the command of France, did not know about it. One day, what is known as the Internet that we use today will be invented.
Therefore, the history of Tunisia was limited to the Carthaginian civilization (3,000 years). First, and what is known in international protocols is that the capital is the most ancient city in the country. Here, Bourguiba cannot tolerate Kabasa becoming the capital of the country after the alleged independence. How could it not, when it is more than forty thousand years old?
Neither France nor the invading Arabs can bear for the people of North Africa to know the Amazighs where they come from and that they are related to the Canaanites and Phoenicians. If they knew that the Qabsid civilization was their mother civilization, they might have united again, and this would not serve their plans. Rather, they changed the name of Kabsa to Gafsa and the name of Tamzgha to Tamerza.
And so on to obscure the facts. Then, all parts of Gafsa, including mountains, deserts, and oases, are full of archaeological monuments, and within them there are endless natural resources such as phosphate, oil, gas, etc.
Uranium, precious stones, etc., etc
It cannot be extracted if it is protected internationally and officially by UNESCO. Therefore, there is not a single text in the Tunisian history subject that is taught that tells us about this civilization or even about its existence. Rather, we find the imaginary myth of Alisa and the myth of the bull’s skin as the beginning of life on that geographical area. The Coptic civilization is the missing link in the history of the Berbers, and the Pharaohs and Carthaginians descend from there and have no connection to either the Phoenicians or the Arabian Peninsula.
