The Kasbah is one of the buildings built by the Berbers(amazighs)
Many people, especially in Algeria, think that the construction of the “Kasbah” in the capital was done by the Turks, and they consider it the most important construction for them, especially the Arab movement, who are out of their compass, praise this achievement and glorify the Ottoman Turks to the point that they have cracked us in the head with their myths and lies!
The correct thing is that the Kasbah was built by the Berbers (amazighs) . Yes, the Berbers(amazighs) built the Mezghna Sanhajis, and this was confirmed by Professor William Spencer.
Professor William Spencer, in his famous book on Algeria, Algiers in the age of cosairs, University Edition
American University of Oklahoma
The US Congress itself has a copy of it.
On page 5 we find him talking about the reed and saying:
“A Berber(amazigh) tribe, from Mezghna, converted to Islam, and built (or founded) a large permanent residential complex, in the deepest distance of the Gulf (meaning the Gulf of the capital, Dzire), which is the “Kasbah” and the port of Dzire.”
The truth is that the Kasbah was built by Berbers(amazighs) and was not built by the Turks at all, and there was a scientific and urban boom before their presence...
