Nador: The second session of the “Amzian Forum for Amazigh Poetry” 2-138
On the occasion of World Poetry Day, and in partnership with the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Culture Sector - in the East Region, the Amzian Association in Nador organized the second session of the “Amzian Forum for Amazigh Poetry”, as this meeting opened at the Cultural Complex Library on Thursday, March 14, 2024, starting at ten o’clock at night. An intellectual symposium on the publications of the celebrated poet and writer Ali Ould Siddiq, known artistically as “Ali Amazigh”
This symposium was presented by Dr. Al-Yamani Qassouh, a qualified professor at the Multidisciplinary College in Nador, who titled his Amazigh intervention with “tiqqes n usefru n Ɛali Amaziɣ jar tiqqest d unaruz.” At the beginning of his intervention, he reviewed flashes from the life of the poet who immigrated to the Netherlands as a young man and how he was able to write Poetry and story, and he remained true to his authority, memory, and Amazigh identity. The doctor also delved into the analysis of the celebrated poet’s writings, starting from the covers of his three publications, reaching the structure of the writing and the writer’s style. He then intervened after Dr. Al-Yamani Kashouh, the researcher and interested in Amazigh affairs, Professor Abdel Hamid Kashouh, who noted the poet’s writings, which he considered Lyrical poems in the first place, and that the poet remained steadfast in the face of all changes and transformations to write poetry and prose in his mother tongue.

After both interventions, the floor was given to the poet Ali Amazigh, who thanked the organizers for this gesture and entertained the attendees with several poems from his collections. The celebration continued with musical performances by the Hassan Akraw Band, which delighted the attendees, before moving on to other poetry recitals, which were recited by each of the poets: Muhammad al-Shami, Najib Ayaw, and Jaafar Agawawshi.
At the conclusion of this joyful ceremony, which was moderated by the researcher in Amazigh literature, Mohamed Al-Hashemi, some publications of the poet Ali Amazigh were signed.
