The fall of the myth that Carthage was inhabited by Phoenicians
Here, Ibn Khaldun says that the Franks took control of Cartagena, Sbeitla, and Jalula...etc....over those who were Berbers there, i.e. the inhabitants of these cities of the Berbers, contrary to what the advocates of the Phoenix, Canaanites, and Arabism claim.
On the other hand, during the Arab invasion of North Africa, the sources of the Arab-Islamic heritage talk about confrontations between the Arab-Islamic army and its counterpart from the Berber army or the Byzantine army. The Phoenician or Canaanite army was not mentioned, and the sources did not talk about the existence of a population belonging to the Phoenicians or Canaan.
