Amazigh knights in Abizar's painting
Amazigh knights in Abizar's painting 1---1205
Characteristics of the Amazigh knights in the past, when the ancient inscriptions match the description of historians.. The Abizar painting, discovered in the Kabylie region in 1858 AD (classified under No. 851 - Shabu), which dates back to the first centuries AD, depicts an Amazigh knight riding a horse and carrying a set of spears and a shield for protection. Words were inscribed in Amazigh letters on his right. This picture of the Amazigh knight is exactly similar to what the historian Strabo (64 BC - 23 AD) mentioned. Who said: “The Libyan knights used to use fast-running horses despite their small size, and they were easy to control, to the point that they would restrain them with a small rod. They would wear collars made of wood or hair to hold the bridle in, and they would follow their owners without being led. As for their weapons, they were small shields made of non-woven leather.” Tanned and broad-tipped spears.”

The horse in question is the well-known  Amazigh horse, which is smaller in size compared to its European counterpart, but faster in movement, stronger and more endurable.
It is fortunate that there is Libero- Amazigh  writing engraved on the painting, otherwise some would jump in and claim that it belongs to Phoenician knights, Vandals, or others, as usual!
