This agreement falls within the framework of the integrated national plan to activate the official nature of the Amazigh language and how to integrate it into administrations and other public facilities and public spaces, in line with the requirements of the Constitution, especially Chapter Five of it, which stipulates that “Amazigh is also considered an official language of the state, as it is a common asset for all Moroccans without exception…"
In a speech he delivered on the occasion, Mr. Muhammad Kharshish stressed the strategic dimension of this agreement, which will open broad and promising horizons of fruitful cooperation between the two institutions and will inevitably contribute to achieving a set of goals, the most important of which is the exchange of experiences in areas of common interest, especially through benefiting the students of the King Fahd Higher School of Translation. From training courses to hone their professional skills, involving the institute’s professors in translator training programs, especially in the field of written or simultaneous translation from and into the Amazigh language, organizing joint scientific and cultural activities, and translating works of strategic importance at the national level.
