His son Sulgi (2094 - 2047 BC) assumed power after the death of Ur-Nammu. The old name of King Shulgi is (Dungi). His reign is considered the longest period spent by a king of the Third Dynasty of Ur, and the royal tables mention that he ruled for (48) years.
