Darnatinus was born in western Mauritania in Caesarea, in the Tidernatin region of the ancient city of Talzeran, located in what is now known as the state of Saïda in Algeria, the region whose name he bears. This was during the reign of the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus (193/211 AD). (Most likely)... His father was a herder of pigs while he was serving in the Roman army to support his poor family, in addition to the fact that he was attached to the ancient Berber philosophy in that region. He soon reached the peak of his youth until the barbarian spring came upon him, which caused He made him abandon his service to the Romans and rebel against them, and join the Berber heroes who spent their lives serving the barbarian cause, in addition to his kinship with the Tamasheq tribes of the Getul in the desert, who supported him in his raids on Roman military installations in the region.
"Dernatin" traveled to Greece, changing his name to "Darnatinos" and resided there to study philosophy and mathematics. Then he returned to his land years later to find that most of his companions had been assassinated, in addition to the loss of his dearest spiritual companion, who was called "Vardas". Darnatinus endured this situation, and the fires of his anger were ignited, which caused him to explode in western Numidia, Mazasil, and establish his own army to establish his state, behind which he sought to recover all the lands of the Berbers before he was disappointed after that. He carried out many raids in ala miliaria and Cohors Breucorum. Likewise, Lucu, in which he was able to eliminate the Roman ruler, his influence reached most of the regions west of the Mazysil, thanks to the cooperation of the Gadarites and Atlanticists with him as well.

Darnatinus was able to extend control over the areas he seized. He was also able to conclude a truce with the Romans, but it ended with the betrayal of his dearest comrades, which led him later to go on an unknown trip to the Atlantic Ocean. In some sources, it is mentioned that he returned later. He returned to his land with his wife and died there in the same area where he was born, as stated in his book, “If my birth was among oak trees, my death will only be under them.”
