Tabandot Castle
More than 100 traditional castles are spread across the Euras. These castles were used as collective storage centers (storing wheat, honey, silver, etc.).
Although some of them are classified as national heritage...they are still waiting for the attention of the authorities to restore, care for and protect them.
These castles are located on difficult rocky heights and reach a height of 8 floors.
Some consider these castles to be the first banks to appear in the world because they perform the same function as the banks that appeared in the Middle Ages in Europe.
In the picture above, a Eurasian civilization was built on top of a separate rocky triangle centuries ago, and it is a marvel of the Eurasian castles. It is the ancient castle of Tabendot in the municipality of Mziraa, Biskra Province.
Who built it, how was it built in this isolated rocky chain, and what are the techniques used to lay the ancient wooden bridge that connects the castle to the other side of the rocky chain? Was it built for the purpose of housing, storage, or a military fortress?
