A Lebanese young man invents a way to generate electricity.. The experiment succeeded in 6 homes in his village
Anadolu Agency published a report in which it monitored the remarkable story of a young Lebanese man who was able to find a solution to the electricity crisis from the womb of suffering, through an invention that generates electricity from the wind. The report stated:
With the frequent absence of electricity in Lebanon , the young man “Mohammad Al-Sabsi” succeeded in generating electrical energy from the wind using environmentally friendly materials to light 6 residential homes in his village in the north of the country.
Lebanon is suffering from a comprehensive blackout and a severe electricity crisis that has reached its peak in the past three years, especially in the summer of 2022, when state electricity barely “visits” citizens’ homes for an hour a day, and not in all Lebanese regions .

The Lebanese resorted to alternative energy sources so that “darkness” would not impose itself on them, including subscriptions to electric generators and solar panels, but they imposed additional burdens in US dollars in exchange for obtaining sustainable comfort.
Necessity is the mother of invention… An individual solution to the electricity crisis in Lebanon:
To get out of the energy crisis, the young Lebanese man , “Mohammed Al-Sabsi” (25 years old), was able to invent an unconventional fan to generate electrical energy through plastic barrels that are thrown away after use.
Al-Sabsi, a student of French Language and Literature at the Lebanese University, applied his passion for physics and created an unconventional invention to generate electrical energy from plastic barrels.
The passionate young Lebanese man was forced by the Corona crisis, the deterioration of the economy, and the weak purchasing power to leave university and live in a poor neighborhood in the village of Bbnin in Akkar, northern Lebanon .
The mechanism for generating electricity in the device invented by the young Lebanese man is based on the principle of converting the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy, by means of the turbine that supplies energy to the electric generator to convert the rotational motion into electricity.
Through an autonomous control device, the electrical energy is adjusted and regulated to charge the batteries, store the energy and distribute it remotely to 6 residential homes in the neighborhood belonging to his family.

?What makes this invention special
Al-Sabsi said, “What distinguishes the turbine is that it is made of local, recyclable materials. The plastic barrels play the role of propellers that receive wind energy vertically and horizontally to give the turbine propulsion.”
He added to Anadolu Agency: “To enhance this power, the principle of torque (doubling the rotation) was adopted to produce electrical energy with the least possible wind energy .”
Al-Sabsi explained that the turbine that his device operates on is characterized by its high productivity with low wind speed.
Regarding his motivations for inventing this environmentally friendly device, the young Lebanese man said that the economic crisis that occurred three years ago made him discover his inclination towards physics.
A promising outlook for Lebanon's future:
Regarding his future projects, Al-Sabsi said that he dreams of lighting his entire country with clean energy, completely abandoning fossil fuels, and reducing the state’s debt due to the high costs of the electricity sector.

He pointed out that "there are many natural sources in Lebanon from which energy can be generated, such as wind on the coast and in the mountains, sea waves, rivers, and energy from the sun as well."
Regarding the obstacles facing the development of his projects, the young Lebanese man said , “The main obstacle is financing the experiments and research.” He added, “There are legal obstacles placed by the state, for example, on generating energy from sea waves, as working in this field requires a license.”
