It is expected that Tunisia will host from May 26 to 28, 2022 an international forum on: “Approaches to the History of the Amazigh Language: The Perspective of Language Through the Ages”.
This scientific forum, which bears the title “Perspective”, according to the statement of the organizers, came to bring together “Tunisian, French and Algerian reference institutions, namely the University of Tunis, the Mediator Islamic World Laboratory and the House of Human Sciences in North Paris with its various departments: the National Center for Scientific Research and the University of Paris 8 And the Sorbonne University in North Paris, the Scientific Laboratory of Oral Languages and Civilizations, the University of Paris 3- New Sorbonne, and the General Administration of French and Languages in France.
In partnership with the Agency for the Revival of Heritage and Cultural Development, the Tunisian National Library, the National Heritage Institute and the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts - House of Wisdom.
Several institutions, including the French Institute in Tunis, the Center for Maghreb Studies in Algiers-Oran, and the Merian Center for in-depth studies on the Maghreb, will participate in this forum, so that this comprehensive project will be the fruit of multilateral cooperation for scientific research and heritage revival.

The organizers emphasized that studies related to the Amazigh language had made remarkable progress in several topics that could be benefited from in the scientific field. It is a variety of studies of interest to the history of North Africa. Several approaches have been tested based on a range of disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences related to linguistics, philology, archaeology, ancient history, medieval history, anthropology, and population genetics.
