The story of Noah's son who was drowned by the flood... A key to closed doors
The stories of the flood are similar in human cultures, especially that its essence is based on a moral desire by the gods to annihilate human beings, after they overwhelmed and oppressed, and filled the earth with corruption.
In the legend of Gilgamesh, we see the gods granting immortality to the righteous; Atonfestim and his wife, while estimating death over the rest of mankind. We find the same story among the Greeks and in the monotheistic religions, where Decalion identifies with the Prophet Noah as the new founders of humanity. It is as if we are facing a reset, which we find in modern phones, where all programs, memory contents, and names are deleted, and the phone returns as if it had just come out of the factory, ready to be filled with new contents.
The flood of Noah in the monotheistic religions was a reset for humanity, as if Noah was another Adam by which previous mistakes would be transcended. All mankind was annihilated, with the exception of Noah's family, which escaped by boarding the ark, which contained a pair from each of the living quarters; Male and female, with which life returns to earth, as for Noah's family, it will be a new foundation for humanity. Both the Torah and the Qur’an were exposed to the events of the Flood, and they hardly differ much, but the Qur’an specifically mentioned one of Noah’s children who drowned in the Flood.

The son of Noah was not lucky, he survived the flood, like the giant Oj bin Anak who survived, and it is said that the water did not reach the middle of his legs. Ibn Noah does not resemble the genie mentioned by al-Maarri in the Epistle of Forgiveness, and who sang a poem in which he mentions his hostility to man. And how Noah prevented him from boarding the ark and hit him until he broke his leg bone. But the genie flew and rose above the water of the flood and the rainy clouds until the flood ended: “I flew during the time of the flood ascending in the air until I saw the water subsided.”

The heritage mentioned to us that Noah's children were: Shem, Japheth, Ham, and from them humanity branched out and spread. Islam added to them a fourth son named Canaan or Yam.
Al-Tabari reminds us that Lamak said to his son Noah: “I know that there is no one left on this mountain except us, so do not be lonely and do not follow the wrong nation.” This is the society in which Noah was born, a completely infidel society, so his father warns him not to follow the lost nation. Therefore, mankind has been corrupted, and there is no solution but to exterminate it, as happened in the other stories of the Flood.
The Qur'an presents us in several verses the debate that took place between Noah and his people. He invites them to worship God and they reject and mock Him. But Noah did not despair until a revelation came to him that his people would not believe, and he had to build the ark. And as soon as Noah finished his work, the oven ran away, and the earth overflowed with its water, and the sky poured its rain.
Noah asked God to save his son from drowning, but the divine answer was definitive... The story of Noah's fourth son, the youngest among his brothers
Kanaam or Yam
"وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِي مَوْجٍ كَالْجِبَالِ وَنَادَىٰ نُوحٌ ابْنَهُ وَكَانَ فِي مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَب مَّعَنَا وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ الْكَافِرِينَ (42) قَالَ سَآوِي إِلَىٰ جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ الْمَاءِ ۚ قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ۚ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا الْمَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُغْرَقِينَ" .These verses mentioned the son of Noah who was drowned, because he was one of the unbelievers. He differed in his name, is he Canaan or Yam? It is according to al-Tabari and al-Baidawi; His name is Canaan. At Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, his name is Yam. Stopping at these two names refers us to the Torah. Canaan is the grandson of Noah from his son Ham, who saw his father's nakedness, which was the reason for Noah to curse him. And it came in the Torah: "When Noah woke up from his drunkenness, he knew what his youngest son had done to him, so he said, Cursed be Canaan. The slaves belong to his brothers."
There is no doubt that the curse of Canaan came from the strategy that the Jews followed in slandering the inhabitants of the land of Palestine. The one who saw the nakedness of his father was Ham, not his son Canaan, and it is better for Ham to curse Ham, not Canaan. From this point, we see that the archivists of the heritage, in their search for the reason for the name of the drowned son of Noah, is Canaan, were inspired by the cursing of Canaan ibn Ham by a thread, to link him with the drowned son of Noah, as the curse means expulsion and is equivalent to drowning.
It is strange that Yam does not believe in God, and he is the fourth child, and the youngest among his brothers.
As for the second name of the drowned son of Noah, it is: Yam; This name refers to (Yam), which means sea. In the Ugaritic myth, we find Baal victorious over Yam. If we read the two legends on a socio-cultural reading, then in both cases we find that Baal or Jehovah enabled their peoples to control the sea. And we find in the Torah the following sentence as a guide for our approach: “You crushed the heads of leviathans. You made them food for the people.” The sea was unknown to the ancients, so it was frightening, and uncontrollable, so it was blinded; The goddess of initiation in Sumerian myth is represented as a dark sea. And if we want to return the name of Yam to its cultural pronunciation, we find that it represents primitive barbarism, so it was necessary to drown it through a flood similar to it by force, but it was led to heavenly power.
Kanaam/Yam, the son of Noah, is not from his family... Noah's family are the believers, not the infidels
The son of the bed, the mother of the son of the stone
The commentators were preoccupied with the issue of drowning the son of Noah, because of the sentence in the Qur’an: “He said, O Noah, it is not from your family that it is an invalid deed.” Noah asked God to save his son, but the divine answer was unequivocal, that Kanaam/Yam is not from Noah's family, which is an invalid act. This divine answer indicates many implications, perhaps the first of which lies in the fact that the drowned son of Noah was not from his loins, and perhaps he was the son of fornication. The reasons for this are due to the fact that Noah's wife had identified with Lot's wife in treason. When they were mentioned in the Qur'an; They were described as traitors. The commentators went that this betrayal is related to faith and not to sex, because when Noah called to his Lord to save his son, God did not answer him that he was not a son of Noah, but the answer was, that he was not one of Noah's family.

Al-Razi followed this: “This is a malicious saying from which the prophets must be preserved, especially since it is contrary to the Qur’an. As for his saying, Come: (They betrayed them) it does not mean that that betrayal, but it happened for the reason they mentioned. It was said to Ibn Abbas: What was that betrayal? He said: Noah's wife used to say: My husband is crazy, and Lot's wife would show people to his guest if they stayed with him. The interpreters continued to mention the evidence, so if the woman of Noah is an adulterer, then Noah is necessarily Zan, according to the verse: “The adulterer does not marry only a decoration or a partner, and the adulterers do not marry it, but it is not the same, and it is not the same. Infallibility. We conclude that Canaan or Yam was really the son of Noah, but he did not follow his father's heavenly religion, so he was drowned.
Was Yam Ibn Noah a follower of the secular belief that says: No resurrection, no resurrection, and no reckoning?
The son of Noah with the secular belief
It is strange that this fourth youngest son among his brothers is not a believer in God. It is more important that this is because he was raised in a house of prophecy! In the discussion that took place between him and his father Noah, we note that the boy, despite the appearance of the waves that are like mountains, he preferred to hold fast to a mountain, and did not respond to his father in what angered him doctrinally or parentally, so that Noah was at those moments, but a kind and fearful father. On his son from drowning. Hence, we find his plea to God to save him, while emphasizing that he does not deviate from God’s judgment and destiny.
Meditation on the merits of Ibn Noah’s answers and his logical proof that the mountain will protect him from the flood refers to the beginnings of natural mental reasoning among humans, because the laws of nature can be realized and controlled, as the astronomy was the means to escape from the flood, so why not the mountain by virtue His height is the capital. The Qur'anic narration came in support of the Prophet against the Quraish. And as we saw that the son of Noah had held fast to the mountain, not to any other gods, this is an indication of a secular belief similar to those who believed that there is no resurrection, no resurrection, no reckoning, and nothing else. And the Qur’an mentioned them: “And they said, ‘It is nothing but our life of this world. Argument towards these secularists.
Surat Noah and Surat Hud, in which the most important parts of the Flood story are mentioned, are considered; Two machines. The one who studies their verses sees the ideological conflict between the Muslims and the polytheists as apparent in them. The verses of the two surahs make many comparisons, and prove that God is the true God. But what does that serve us in analyzing the story of Noah's
?son
When the Messenger announced his call, the Quraish were divided, and the families were divided, between those who followed him and those who rejected him. So Islam separated the family nudity, and separated the sons and the fathers, so it was necessary to justify the logical and ideological justification for the demolition that affected the structure of the family . infidels;
We extract from the story of Ibn Noah, the fool whose name was mentioned in the Qur’an, many ideological, social and cultural issues, as if it were a key that enabled us to open those closed doors in the facts of human history.
