The World Cup in Qatar showed that the Amazigh language does not belong to all Moroccans, but only to the Amazighs
Yes, the Qatar World Cup 2022 dropped the mask from a slogan that was raised by several circles from outside the Amazigh movement, to later reach the draft constitution in its fifth paragraph, which is devoted to the demarcation of the Amazigh language, which is: “The Amazigh language is also an official language of the state, as it is a common asset for all Moroccans without exception.”
Where I used the word "also" and "a joint balance without exception". That is, Tamazight is not the monopoly of only the Amazighs who fought for it, but rather the state, government, political society, civil society and the rest of the Moroccan people. But today it became clear to us the opposite. Only the Berbers are left of these people:
the only religionists rose up against the exclusion of the Berbers in the celebrations to welcome the national football team in Rabat after its first important achievement in the history of Africa in the World Cup. They are the same Berbers who defended its demarcation. No civil organization has moved a finger in this area.
As for the political and governmental community, the mask fell from them and they were exposed. Where the government described the national wailing as "the Arab and African team," as if the Arabs of Morocco - if they really existed - were not Africans. And I avoided saying the African team only, just as I avoided - if it was necessary to mention the word Arabs - "the Amazigh and Arab-African team." As for the great calamity, it is the removal of the Amazigh identity from the bus that transported the football team through all the streets of the capital, Rabat, and the preservation of only the language of the Arabs and the French as an appreciation and honor for the languages of the peoples arriving in the lands of the Amazighs.
Even the Moroccan newspapers avoided support, with the exception of the Moroccan newspaper "Kode", which expressed its Moroccanness, and on this occasion we raise our hats to it. We also raise it to Moroccan players who defended their Amazigh identity until their message reached all international media platforms.
