Nador: Amziane Association celebrates the Amazigh year
“January” is a station that stops us at the greatest historical event in North Africa in 2973 years. BC is the title of a battle that ended with the victory of truth over falsehood, so the event was adopted as the beginning of a Amazighe year.
Hence, the memory of “January” returns, and the manifestations of its celebration return with it, with all the symbolic and historical connotations it carries through messages of giving and solidarity with the land, and through it we inhale through its bounties the memory of free men. North African countries are steeped in ancient cultural and civilizational symbols that have deep roots in history.
In accordance with its custom since the 19th anniversary of its founding, the Amzian Association did not miss this year the occasion of the Amazigh New Year 2973, and here it does not miss the opportunity for the Amazigh New Year to celebrate this occasion according to the Amazigh traditions and customs, and its activities will be hosted by the Cultural Complex Hall in Nador on Saturday 14 January 2023, starting at five o'clock in the evening, and a group of events, artists, poets, and those interested in the Amazigh cultural issue will participate in this ceremony.
And we, in the Amzian Association, by celebrating the Amazigh year, seek to consolidate the celebration of “January” as a national holiday that contributes to the consolidation of awareness of the Amazigh identity and culture, as well as introducing the various aspects of artistic and cultural creativity in the region, and we consider “January” an occasion to consolidate awareness of the concept of the Amazigh year and its origin for the population Nador Province and for all events, as well as reviving these centuries-old traditions, clinging to them and introducing the current generation to them.
