Do you know a palace or “Dar Aziza”? Located in the lower Kasbah, the last witness to the “Geneina” palace, which was gifted by the Dey Hussein to his daughter “Aziza” on the occasion of her marriage to the Bey of Constantine. Its construction dates back to the year 1721, when it was considered one of the most beautiful ancient palaces in Algeria to this day.
This Algerian teacher has a twin brother in the city of Laghouat.
Dar Bouamer The story of its construction, which was conveyed by Mr. Bouamer Mohamed, a descendant of this family that owns the site, dates back to before 1830, when the Turks and the Ben Salem family allied themselves.
As the young girl who was to be married to a bride and enter her marital home, demanded that her husband build a house in the image of her father's house as a wedding dowry.

However, after the French colonization, this building was subjected to several attacks, as it was nationalized by the French military forces for some time, then it was restored in 1857 AD during the time of Napoleon III.
In 1948, a gunpowder truck (Dar al-Baroud) exploded in al-Qarbiyyah, causing 10 casualties and a hundred missing, according to Muhammad Buamer.
The house was not damaged. However, the official Heartz found an opportunity to destroy the building and the intervention of two French architects, Pouillon and Pigeon, to avoid its destruction.
This building received distinguished guests such as Farhat Abbas in 1948; Or again, Moncef Bey, the Tunisian political prisoner in 1943 in Laghouat. It was also frequented by Sheikh Mubarak Al-Maili, who stayed for seven years in Laghouat.
Dar Bou Amer was built in 1857 AD on an area of 580 square meters in the old palace. It is the private property of its owner, Mr. Qweider Bouamer. It is characterized by a unique Andalusian architectural style, and it is said that it is similar to the house of Aziza Bint Al Bey in Algeria, which dates back to the Ottoman era. It also witnessed the visit of several personalities, including the poet “Mufdi Zakaria” and “The Bey Moncef” Bey of Tunisia.
Most of the officials and parliamentarians, including the ministers of tourism, when they visited Dar Bouamer Palace, promised the residents to restore this landmark, which is threatened with collapse.
