On Thursday, May 11, in Errachidia, a study day was organized on the topic “Textbooks and building learnings in the subject of the Amazigh language”, at the initiative of the Regional Center for Education and Training Professions of Drâa-Tafilalet.
This meeting, which was organized in coordination with the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture and the Association of Amazigh Language Teachers in Midelt, was an occasion to highlight the means of investing Amazigh language writers in building learning, especially the new versions of these textbooks and the adoption of new curricula based on a method of teaching according to the competency approach.

In a speech on the occasion, the Director of the Regional Center for Education and Training Professions and Training in Drâa-Tafilalet, Zayed Ben Yedder, stressed the importance of the textbook as an essential component of the teaching program at the level of all educational wires, noting the importance of teachers being able to master the characteristics of the textbook and the various stages of its preparation.
He added that the teachers' knowledge of the stages of preparing the textbook in the Amazigh language and the optimal use of this pedagogical method in building learning would enable them to master and define the forms of pedagogical planning and educational goals.
Mr. Ben Yedder praised the historic decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to establish the Amazigh New Year as an official national holiday, to be celebrated similar to the light of Muharram of the Hijri year, and the New Year's Day.

This academic day was marked by presentations that included a number of topics, including, in particular, “sharing the experience of preparing an Amazigh language textbook,” “the importance of textbooks in teaching the Amazigh language,” “educational references that frame cultural diversity in the Amazigh language,” and “the textbook.” 'Tifawine a Tamazight', which aims to teach the Amazigh language to students of the fourth primary level.
