Adlis Magazine, the only outlet for all those looking for new and important publications in the field of Amazigh, which displays its publications and the publications of Amazigh writers in particular, at the International Book Fair in its 28th session held in Rabat.
Ahmed Al-Khanboubi, in charge of the gallery of Adlis Magazine, confirmed that the main objective of attending the exhibition, whose activities extend until June 11, is to “deliver a scientific and cultural message, as well as introduce the Amazigh culture, the history of Souss, the history of knowledge, and the human and social sciences in general.”
Al-Khanboubi, Director of Edlis Publishing, added, “The participation of Edlis magazine in the space of cultural magazines is, in fact, as the magazine has always done, stems from its belief in the necessity of participating and imposing its presence in all sessions of the International Book Fair.
He explained that "despite the difficulties, we always try to register our presence in the exhibition and participate in order to deliver our scientific message."

Regarding the turnout of the Idris Gallery, Al-Khanboubi said, “There is a significant turnout and interest from all segments of society in the publications of the Idris Gallery, whether Amazigh-speaking or non-speaking, as well as by foreigners, from Europe and the East as well, and this indicates that there is great interest in the Amazigh book and in new publications and publications.”
Al-Khanboubi added that the popularity that the exhibition has known since the first day “refutes the negative axioms, which negatively affect the fact that people do not read or care about the book, and I see that this is wrong, and the best evidence for that is that the number of visitors to the exhibition reached one million visitors in a short period, There is also a demand from the citizens and they acquire the book and ask about the new.”
He pointed out that "there is an important diversity in the exhibition, because the book fair is like a multi-market, and this is something that must be so that it must include all intellectual walks and that there are representatives of all the various scientific disciplines."
He added, “There are interests in literature and in new studies and research, because reading is a taste, so we find readers’ tastes differ, whether at the level of titles or disciplines. The exhibition will also be poor in terms of content.
Regarding the presence of the Amazigh book in the exhibition, Al-Khanboubi said, “It is certain that the presence of the Amazigh book is a big problem, because at the time we are talking about the Amazigh language and culture is one of the basic components of the Moroccan identity and culture, and that the constitution recognizes it as an official language alongside the Arabic language, in addition to decisions We find that its presence does not reflect all these political decisions and reality, and this is a problem because the national languages must be given the primary place in the exhibition, and of course we welcome guests from all over the world.

Al-Khanboubi explained that “in most of the exhibitions organized in the world, we find that countries give priority to their culture. For example, if we go to China or France, we will find French-speaking books that occupy a great place, but here we find that Tamazight is present in a modest manner, at a time when it needs discrimination. Positive, because it has suffered from marginalization for decades, so today it needs positive discrimination, encouragement and support in order to take its place and to compensate for the shortfall that occurred for decades.
