International Publishing and Book Fair: Mohamed V University crowned with the award for the best accessibility gallery for people with disabilities
The University of Mohammed V in Rabat won the first prize for the award for the best accessibility gallery in its seventh session for facilitators of access for people with disabilities at the International Book and Publishing Fair, organized from 01 to 11 June in Rabat.
The university highlighted, in a statement, that the coronation is an acknowledgment of the efforts made in serving people with disabilities and facilitating their access to the book and attending intellectual and literary seminars and meetings at the exhibition, pointing out that access is related to infrastructure, quality of organization and content, given the significant turnout of people with disabilities for the gallery's activities.
The source added that the award ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family in its gallery at the exhibition, in the presence, in particular, of the Minister Regent of the Sector, Awatef Hiyar, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd, the Acting President of Mohammed V University in Rabat, Farid El Basha, and the Vice President of the University, Mohamed Hanish, and the head of the Moroccan Al-Amal Association for the Disabled, Youssef Al-Rakhis.
The communication concluded that this award was received by Mr. Al-Basha, who confirmed that “this coronation is tantamount to recognition of the efforts of all components of the university,” adding that this field falls within the university’s priorities as it has worked for several years to improve the quality of access for people with special needs, in addition to working on Linking companies with national and international institutions in this field.
