Documentary presentation on the Amazigh “tattoo” in Rabat
The documentary film “Memory of a Body” is expected to be shown in its first public appearance through the pre-screening, this evening, Friday, July 21, 2023, at 7:30 pm, in the “Cinema Renaissance” cinema in the capital, Rabat.
The documentary, directed by Mohamed Zago and produced by Hussein Hanin, sheds light on an aspect of the Amazigh identity that distinguished Moroccan women, represented by the “tattoo”, which carries with it many dimensions and connotations.
The Amazigh documentary tries to take its viewers on a journey to discover the meanings of the symbols that Amazighe women put on their faces as tattoos, and they will discover, through that journey, the purpose behind tattooing their faces through different points of view, all of which are spontaneous and spontaneous.
It also aims to revive, consolidate and value the intangible heritage by exploring the symbols that are found on the faces of Amazighe women, which are considered a unique expression of their cultural identity.
