“Much Love” “Atas Nthairi” is a new born Amazigh documentary
The work of the young Amazigh director, Ibrahim Izhaf, a member of the Aith Said tribe, was crowned with the directing of his first short documentary film titled “A Lot of Love,” “Atas Nthairi,” produced by the Abdelmalek Saadi University of Tetouan and the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences in Martil, within the framework of the graduation project to obtain Professional license for cinematic and audiovisual studies.
The documentary film “Atas Nthairi” was filmed in the Ait Saeed tribe, “Dar Al-Kabdani”, which director Ibrahim wrote and directed, and cooperated in its production with a young and professional technical team. With the generous participation of the artist Sifax Botkontar, and the contribution of several prominent names in rural cinema, including Mohamed Bouzhou “Thazari Productions”, Montaser Hittan, Ramses Boulayoun “Mar Productions”, Mohamed Kamal Makhloufi “Aras Entertainment”, and director Tariq Al-Idrissi, in addition to the contribution of the “Akraf” band in Nasir Akraf, who prepared the music for the film.
The film “Atas Nthairi” tells the story of the young man Ibrahim, who embarked on a journey in search of love after the death of his father. The director stated that the project has been close to his heart since the death of his father, with his great desire to say, “I love you, my father,” as the first time he said that to him was when He died inside the hospital, and to avoid making the same mistake, he tried several times to express his love for his mother, whom he called “Yama,” but he was unable to do so, and then decided to make a film. Entitled “Lots of Love”, to express his love for his mother and family, and to search for a lost or never-existent picture.
Director Ibrahim Izhaf adds that expressing love constitutes his complex and perhaps the complex of most members of our society, and it is a journey about searching for oneself, and after a year of hard work and searching for a lot of love, he finished filming the film and is almost ready to go out to the viewer, until he discovers a group of things in... Our conservative rural society, and it breaks the fear of expressing love within the family.
