Calangute beach

Calangute Beach, located 15 km from Panjim, is the longest beach in North Goa, extending from Candolim to Baga. Due to its popularity, it is a hub for tourists and backpackers from all over the world.
Known as the "Queen of Beaches", Calangute Beach is among the world's favorite beaches for recreation. Being one of the busiest and most commercial beaches in Goa, it is packed with restaurants serving seafood. Calangute Beach is also popular for water sports activities such as parasailing, surfing and water skiing.
Fort Aguada

It is a Portuguese fort dating back to the seventeenth century and overlooks the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. The crumbling fort walls stand on Sinquerim Beach, about 18 kilometers from Panjim. The highlight of the fort is the only four-storey lighthouse (the first of its kind in Asia) and a stunning view of the sunset.
Built in 1612 as a protection against the Dutch, Fort Aguada was the most important fort for the Portuguese and covers the entire peninsula at the southwestern tip of the Bardez. The fort was named after the Portuguese word for water i.e. “agua” and was a replenishing source of fresh water for sailors. In fact, it had the capacity to hold 2,376,000 gallons of water and was one of the largest freshwater tanks in Asia. . Fort Aguada was also used as a prison. There is a statue in front of the jail that salutes the freedom fighters, giving the fort a touch of patriotism.
Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, is located within Mollem National Park. The falls are located a little further inland about 60 km from Panaji on the Goa-Karnataka border. The 310-metre-high waterfall is divided into four levels on the Mandovi River.
While most people reach Dudhsagar Falls by jeep or their own transport from Panaji and nearby areas, others choose to visit the falls through a train journey.
It is recommended to visit these waterfalls during the monsoon period when they are in full flow and the surrounding deciduous forests are in their favored green states.

Anjuna flea market

It is a weekly market, where the visitor can find a wide range of goods from fake jewellery, local handicrafts, shoes, wall hangings, spices and hammocks. Legend has it that a group of hippies created this market in the 1960s as a way to barter and survive. Things can be obtained here at negotiable prices.
Panjim Market
Panjim Market is a perfect blend of old and new as the two are juxtaposed with malls and street-side stalls. A visitor can spend hours here, as this market is considered the largest in Goa. There are many things to buy such as nuts, local spices and handicrafts.
