Traces of dinosaurs in the state of Beidh
350 traces of dinosaurs were discovered in Al-Baidh, including 11 in the “Lahmar Al-Waq” area, specifically about 7 km from the headquarters of the state capital, Al-Bidh. These dinosaurs, including meat- and plant-eating ones, point out that they were found in the area earlier, since About ten years ago, at the end of 2007, skeletal remains of dinosaurs from the “Paralisian” family, which lived in the Al-Baydah region 130 million years ago, were found. American researchers at the time - who visited and viewed them at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture - expected that new discoveries would be made. What has now become clear is that there are nine visible fingerprints that have been discovered, indicating that this species is a carnivorous dinosaur.

With this discovery, El Bayadh State recorded 15 fingerprint sites, while the number of sites at the national level rose to 1,059 fingerprint sites.
The discovered bones belong to dinosaurs from the Brachiosaurus family, which is close to the Diplodocus family, which is a carnivorous dinosaur. Finding traces of the latter is easier than those of herbivores. There are more than five sites of dinosaur footprints in the Al-Baidh region, scattered across the city of Al-Baidh, Brisina and Waqaf, which makes the state of Al-Baidh special and attracts scientists and researchers, after great momentum in the first days of discovery.
